Our mares are daughters and granddaughters of Sir Rambler, My Leroy Brown, Secretariat, Doc's Jack Frost, Dash for Cash, Sir Quincy Dan, Eagles Gunsmoke, Topsail Cody, Shy Ole Man, Easter Gentleman, Major Bonanza, Simply A Spark, Paddys Irish Whiskey, and Doc Tari. We think these mares crossed with our Dual Pep grandson result in excellent ranch horses and performance horses. Dual Dash produces
"The Cowboy Kind"
Eminent Chantella
Eminent Son (by Secretariat X Shezza Breezy Doc (by Docs Jack Frost)
Annies April Folly
My Leroy Brown X Annies Creation (by Skippa Ward)
Eagles Plain Dunbar
Ramblizer (grandson of Ettabo) X Miss Secret Venture
Shezza Frosty Gal
Eminent Son (by Secretariat) X Shezza Breezy Doc (by Docs Jack Frost)
Eminent Chantella is a 15H dark chestnut appendix mare that came from the Bill Rumney program out of Cut Bank. She is a granddaughter of Secretariat, who still has the speed record of the Kentucky Derby set in 1973. She is also a granddaughter of Doc's Jack Frost, the sire of many great cutting and preformance horses, as well as the great Sun Frost, whos offspring are winners in barrell racing and team roping.
"Chantella's" colts have done real well for us, topping different sales. Whitney Gallehon of the U of M Rodeo Team is ridding a daughter and starting winning the 1D in the summer of 2010. Whitney has been preparing the swift mare for this moment for 5 years, and it is paying off big time. We are proud of both of them and wish them the best.
We also have her full sister, Shezza Frosty Gal.
"Emily", Annies April Folly is a 15H 1992 mare that will stay here on the ranch. She is a daughter of "My Leroy Brown", SI 94, a sire of race horses and NFR barrel and rope horses.
The "Skipa's" were world class ropers, pleasure, and halter horses. We bought her in 2003, and she has only had 2 colts that were not palomino. She is especially nice and a favorite, and all of her colts are the same. Just nice.
Two of her fillies have been the high selling weanlings, and have gone on to be successful. She and Dual Dash niche really well, they are cute with exceptional hips.
When we bought "Pokey" in '03' from Liz Hunton she was bred to Simply A Spark. She is very gentle and nice to be around, the granddaughters rode her some. Her sire, Eagle's Gunsmoke, was owned by Bob Harrison of Polaris. We were good friends, and I was there when he brought the grulla stallion home from North Dakota in 1971.
All of her colts have real sharp features and are the top pick of the years colts. A son topped the 2009 RMBA Sale and went to Oregon. We have retained daughter to breed, and a neighbor girl has a 2008 daughter that is by Dual Dash that is really nice.
She is bred to Dual dash for a 2011 colt that will be for our grandaughters. At her age we savor each colt that we get.
Doc Shy Ann
Doc Doran t X Shy Willie Wren
"Shy Ann" is a chestnut mare that we raised. Her mother came from Glenn Young; she was our daughter's 4-H horse. She was very successful in the local 4-H and the High Winds Youth Rodeo.
Shy Willie Wren was a granddaughter of the Ole Man, SI 100, and sired a lot of top steer roping horses. We bred her to Galt's Doc Doran, who has sired good sized and good disposition ranch horses.
I rode "Shy Ann" for a few years on the ranch, and when she was 3 yrs old I rode her in the WSS Parade while carrying my 3 month old granddaughter. She stands 15.3H, and is a heavy boned mare. I am riding a 4yr old gelding that is 15.2H and is a real nice horse. Her colts stand out as big ranchy and heading type horses.
Simply A Poco
Simply A Spark (by Genuine Doc) X Eagles Plain Dunbar
Simply A Poco is Black "Rabicano"; she is black with white hairs throughout her body and has a "coon" tail. She is really "roan" in the spring and then darkens during the summer.
We raised her; her sire is Simply A Spark and is a full brother to Shinning Spark, the #1 sire of NRCHA money earners. Liz Hunton brought "Sparky" to Montana from Carol Rose's in Texas. In the deal he could not be shown, but he is siring some competive colts.
Simply A Poco was not broke to ride but has a very competitive nature, and is giving us some very nice fillies. We are expecting some great things from her. The oldest is owned by Cindy Frazer of Deer Lodge.

"Starlight" is a 15.1H gray mare that we raised, and rode for 30 days. We shipped semen on Gray Grays Starlight the first year he was standing in Texas. He is by Grays Starlight and a Doc O'Leana mare. Grays Starlight is still setting records even though he died in 2002 from West Nile. Grays Starlight is ranked #1 Leading NRHA, NRCHA, and NCHA broodmares sold in 2007. Thanks to a royal offering of mares, Grays Starlight emerged at the top for both high average and high median cutting horses sold in 2009.
Her dam, Easters Top Bonnet is by a $6000 NRHA earner, standing in Livingston, and a mare that goes to Easter Gentleman and Major Bonanza. We sold her, (maybe a big mistake), in 2009 to Chris and Michele McGuigan of Lazy AC Quarter Horses. We wish them the best with this fine mare.
"Starlight" lost her first colt this spring due to the weather; we are expecting great things from her.
Vejo Pat Bars
Roy R Vejo X Zippos Pretty Baby
"Vejo" is a 15.1H big boned red roan mare that we rode for 30 days. She came from Mark Briggs.
She lost her first colt in the spring of 2010. Roy R Vejo sired preformance winners in western Montana.
Zippo Pretty Baby is the granddaughter of the great Zippo Pat Bars, who has sired lots of pleasure horses in both Western and English. He is a son of Three Bars and out of a Leo mare. He had a successful racing career, as well as halter and pleasure success. Zippo Pat Bars was inducted in the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame in 2002. Zip Little Wolf is his youngest producing foal and stands for Levengoods, in Whitehall.
Shje is another young mare that is going to do great things for us as well as add color.
